Celebration, crafted by the Disney Development Company on former Walt Disney World Resort Property, welcomed its inaugural residents in the fall of 1996. This meticulously planned community was conceived to emulate the ambiance of a pre-1940s Southern town, featuring a blend of architectural styles such as French, Mediterranean, Victorian, Craftsman, Classical, and Coastal. These diverse styles seamlessly integrate into both the residential and commercial facets of Celebration.
Comprising several villages, Celebration offers a harmonious mix of residential homes, townhomes, and condos, as well as commercial and community facilities. The initial villages, including Celebration Main Village, West Village, and Lake Evalyn, were succeeded by North Village, South Village, East Village, Roseville Corner, and Artisan Park, respectively. The latest additions include Spring Lake at Celebration, with Island Village by Mattamy Homes scheduled for 2021.
Each village in Celebration boasts distinctive pools, parks, and playgrounds, with many interconnected by walking and biking trails, facilitating easy visits between adjacent neighborhoods. The town's meticulous planning extends to include a championship golf course, innovative schools, a state-of-the-art hospital with a fitness center, multiple churches, hotels for town visitors, and commercial office districts.
